Walking through history exhibition: 100 years of wedding dresses

Featuring items from the Swan Guildford Historical Society Collection

Wedding dresses tell the rich and evolving stories of a culture and a society.  Marriage is an important occasion in a person’s life, and a joyful family celebration.  For the bride, much more than the groom, it is HER big day.

In this exhibition we explore stories of dresses, boots, flowers and hats that bring to life the past, and recognises traditions that impact on the present as well as future generations of brides.

Located in the Swan Valley Visitors  Centre on the corner of Meadow and Swan Streets, entry to the exhibition is FREE so come along and enjoy this fine collection of wedding dresses over the past 100 years.

Opening hours:  9AM to 4PM daily.

A souvenir catalogue is on sale for $5
