Exhibition: 100 years of wedding dresses

11/12/2018 by Gaye Sweeney

Walking through history:  100 years of wedding gowns

Weddings are an important occasion in any person’s life, and also a joyful family celebration.  This exhibition features items from the Swan Guildford Historical Society collection, with wedding dresses that tell the rich and evolving stories of a culture and a society.

We explore stories of gowns, boots, flowers and hats that bring to life the past, while recognising traditions that impact on the present as well as future generations of brides.

Entry to the exhibition is FREE.  Come along and enjoy this fine collection of wedding dresses over the past 100 years.  Location:  Swan Valley Visitors Centre, corner Meadow and Swan Streets Guildford.

Opening hours:  9AM to 4PM daily.
