Group Tours – CURRENTLY SUSPENDED

TOURS OF THE HISTORIC PRECINCT

Please note:  Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, tours of the Historic Precinct in Guildford are currently suspended until further notice. 20th March 2020

Swan Guildford Historical Society invites primary school children, community and seniors groups to experience a tour of the Heritage Precinct. The tour includes the Colonial Gaol, Taylor’s Cottage, a prisoner exercise yard that contains farming machinery and a blacksmith’s forge, and an outdoor wash house.

While you are here, don’t forget to visit a museum space inside the Courthouse building (occupied by Swan Valley Visitor’s Centre).  This area contains exhibitions charting the history of Guildford, and includes original artefacts, important costumes and original photographs.

Stay a while longer, and enjoy a picnic in the tranquil grounds of the Historic Precinct.

OPENING HOURS
We are open for tours from 10AM to 2PM, Tuesdays to Saturdays.  The last tour for the day commences at 1.30PM.
