Professor David Gilchrist of Departmental Head of Accounting and Finance, UWA, will explore the significant impact of Charles Harper upon Western Australia society and the economy between 1890-1910. Harper, an antipodean Owenite or colonial socialist as shown in economic development and agricultural co-operatives and newspaper promotion of community co-operation.
