VISITING OUR MUSEUM ATTRACTIONS

The Colonial Gaol and Taylor’s Cottage are located in the beautiful village setting of Guildford, just a 20 minutes car journey from Perth City  via the Great Eastern Highway.  Turn right at the lights near the Guildford Hotel, then left over the railway crossing into Meadow Street.  The Colonial Gaol is facing Stirling Square, right next door to the Swan Valley Visitors’ Centre.

By train depart from the Perth Railway Station on the Midland line and disembark at Guildford Railway Station.  Outside the railway station, turn left and travel eastwards, passing the Guildford Hotel, and the iconic  Alfred’s Kitchen.  Cross at the railway line.  The Colonial Gaol is facing Stirling Square, right next door to the Swan Valley Visitors’ Centre.

By bus, take a number 36 bus at stops along St. George’s Terrace in Perth.   The bus driver will tell you when to alight at the stop near Alfred’s Kitchen.  Cross over the railway line.  The Colonial Gaol is facing Stirling Square, right next door to the Swan Valley Visitors’Centre. .
