Volunteering

Volunteers make the Society tick.   We could not operate without them!  Opportunities are available in two areas.  Tour guides show people the Colonial Gaol, Taylor’s Cottage, and an outdoor wash house, or laundry dating from the 1920’s.  We tell stories about law and order in the early days of settlement, and Guildford’s significant contribution to the development of the Swan River Colony.  Tours are conducted each Tuesday to Saturday, from  10am to 2pm.  Full training is provided.  You decide the day that suits best to volunteer.

Volunteers also work behind the scenes, involved in administration, or preserving and recording items so we can display them in our museum.

Interested?  We are recruiting new volunteers NOW, and would love to hear from you.
