A few years later she was elected onto the Board of Directors and served on the Board for seven years at an exciting time while the Museum’s floor space doubled and a complete re-design process of all the galleries was undertaken. In 2007 she received an Army History Unit Citation for my work in the Textile Department.

Carole’s other interests and qualifications cover a range of fields, a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Aboriginal and Intercultural Studies; A Degree in Counselling and a Diploma in Fine Arts. She says “I have worked in all these fields, lecturing, counselling and teaching, gaining senior positions and industry recognition for my work. I have been working as the Keeper of Textiles at the Guildford Historical Society for eighteen months and feel privileged to be working with such a significant and important Textile Collection”.
